Dr. Urvi Joshi
Dr. Urvi Joshi joined the Optometric Eye Site in 2011 and is the primary Eye Doctor in our Durham Eye Care Center. She offers full scope eye care and enjoys educating patients on the importance of proper eye care. Dr. Joshi’s attention to detail and efficiency has built quite a following among the public. She has also worked hard on her ability to speak spanish and currently speaks fluently. Patients appreciate her efforts and it is common for them to come into our Durham Eye Care Center looking specifically for her.

Dr. Joshi received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. The Health Care industry offered Dr. Urvi Joshi the chance to give back to the public and help them. She was fascinated with the visual system and how excellent can be so rewarding to people. Working with a first time contact lens wearer and seeing their shock and pleasure at how well their contact lenses work feel inside their eyes makes her feel a sense of satisfaction that she was able to help.
Dr. Urvi Joshi completed her optometric education at the Alabama School of Optometry in 2008. Home is where the heart is, so Dr. Joshi moved back to the Research Triangle to begin practicing Optometry. She could have lived just about anywhere in the area, but Dr. Joshi and her family chose to live in Durham, North Carolina.
In her spare time, Dr. Joshi also has a bit of a “green thumb”. In other words, she has quite a talent for gardening. Nothing tastes better than home grown vegetables. ODr. Joshi and her husband enjoy being active outdoors and spending time at the beach during the summer.
